Silsila - Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan 1981

This Bollywood movie was based on the life story of Amitabh, who had an affair with Rekha while married to Jaya Bhaduri. This movie version follows a similar script, with the addition of a range of colourful additional characters, such as Sanjeev Kumar as Rekha's husband. The content of this film is unique as it deals with a previously taboo subject in Bollywood- adultery.
Watch out for the fantasy sequences shot in the Tulip farms in Holland!!!

For Raisaheb Amarnath Kapoor money is more important than anything. It was for money that he neglected his wife to death. It was for money again that whenever his son Vicky cried he was given a spoonful of brandy and was looked after by the Raisaheb''s friend Munshiji. Certainly, as Vicky grew older, he took to bottles of liquor and fell for a dancer named Meena. Time changed. Raisaheb''s partners cheated him and he lost heavily in business. They wanted Vicky to marry one of the partner''s daughters but learnt that Vicky was in love with Meena. They sought to kill Meena but failed in their attempt. Towards the end, Raisaheb realizes his fault. And as luck would have it, Vicky and Meena get married.

Deewar-the great escape

Deewar (meaning the wall) is largely inspired by stories suggesting there are still 54 soldiers, held as prisoners of war during the 1971 war between India and Pakistan.
The film concentrates on the lives and loves of these captured men and their final struggle to freedom.

Thirty three years later, fed up of the long wait, prisoner Ranvir Kaul (Amitabh Bachchan) decides on a plan of escape. His idea involves the rest of the prisoners.
At the same time, Ranvir's son, Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna) travels to Pakistan in search of his father. He makes friends with a local lad by the name of Khan (Sanjay Dutt), who promises to help.
Once in Pakistan, Gaurav comes across Radhika (Amrita Rao) with whom he falls in love. But will their relationship take the strain of what lies ahead? Director Milan Lutheria's Deewar has the answers.

Amitabh Bachchan in this great escape film

Veteran Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan was seen three decades ago in Yash Chopra's Deewar (1975).
We will see him once again as he reaffirms his angry old man image in this latest state of the art Bollywood offering.
Yesteryear actress, Tanuja will be seen playing Amitabh's wife in this film. Incidentally, they first appeared together in the movie, Pyar Ki Kahani (1971).
The highly talented actor, Kay Kay who gave a superb performance in films like Bhopal Express and Chhal, will be seen playing a baddie in Deewar.

Agneepath(1990)

Plot Summary:
Vijay Dinanath Chavan's father is implicated in a scandal and lynched by the villagers on the instigation of Kancha Cheena. Vijay, at a young age, takes on the responsibility of looking after his mother, and sister and in the process, he becomes a gangster. He captures Kancha Cheena and hands him over to the police...Kancha escapes sentence with lack of evidence and thus Vijay and Kancha are pitted against each other in the battle of evil vs good.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan appeared in a double role in this action film. There was the sexy and glamorous Zeenat Aman and a lovely number 'Yeh mera dil pyaar ka deewana' by Helen.

In the film, there is this 'Don' Amitabh who is a ruthless smuggler. His only soft spot is Zeenat Aman. 'Don' dies in a police confrontation, and as a co-incidence there is his look-alike a country bumpkin, who has come to a city for the first time and breaks into 'Yeh hai bambai nagariya tu dekh babua'.

Cop Iftekhar spots the duplicate Amitabh and sends him as 'Don' to the notorious gang that is now being monitored by Pran. Zeenat comes to know the difference but she has already fallen in love with Don Duplicate. She joins him and Iftekhar in the guerilla warfare against Pran and his accomplices
